MouvMat was the creation of a group of highly motivated graduate students from across Canada working alongside residents from a nearby long-term care facility in Shediac, New Brunswick. We were randomly grouped together during the AGE-WELL Summer Institute 2017 but our individual expertise and talents allowed us to envision a product that would innovate how older adults engaged in physical activity in long-term care facilities.

We cried and poured our hearts into the idea and the pitch. Our work was rewarded as we went on to win the AGE-WELL Summer Institute Pitch Competition.
